Hello, and welcome!
Brooklyn Krygsveld is a Licensed Counselling Therapist (Candidate) who offers a warm, collaborative space for clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and lived experiences. She holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Psychology from St. Thomas University.
Brooklyn’s approach is gentle, supportive, and grounded in fostering self-awareness. She tailors her work to align with each client’s unique needs, values, and goals, helping individuals better understand themselves and move toward meaningful change. Her practice draws from cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and somatic therapy.
She offers both in-person and virtual sessions and has a particular interest in supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, challenges with self-esteem, relationship concerns, and the impacts of childhood trauma. Brooklyn offers individual therapy for adults and teens (15+), creating a safe and non-judgmental environment where clients can feel heard and understood.
Brooklyn brings over four years of experience working in group home settings, where she supported individuals with complex needs. She is passionate about ongoing learning and values growing both professionally and personally through collaboration and continued education.
Outside of the office, Brooklyn values balance and time to recharge. She enjoys practicing yoga, going for walks, and spending time with her cats. She also loves travelling and exploring new places, finding grounding in new environments and experiences.
